Troubleshooting

If your device isn't working properly, you can try several solutions to solve the problem.
In most cases you can solve the problem by following these guidelines:

If your mobile phone hasn't been correctly set up for e-mail, you can't send and receive e-mail.

Solution: Set up your mobile phone for e-mail.

Press Apps.

Press Email.

Press Other email account.

Press Email address and key in your Swisscom e-mail address.

Press NEXT.

Press Password and key in the password for your Swisscom e-mail account.

Press NEXT.

Press Automatically (Push) or Manually.

Press SHOW MORE SYNC OPTIONS.

Press the drop down list below "Days to sync".

Press the required setting.

Press Sync email to activate the function.

Press the field below "Your name (shown on outgoing messages)" and key in the required sender name.

Wait while your mobile phone retrieves new e-mails.

Press the home icon to end the session and return to the Home screen.

1 Find "Other email account"

Press Apps.
Press Email.
Press Other email account.

2 Enter e-mail address

Press Email address and key in your Swisscom e-mail address.
Press NEXT.

3 Enter password

Press Password and key in the password for your Swisscom e-mail account.
Press NEXT.

4 Select settings for retrieval of new e-mails

Press Automatically (Push) or Manually.
Press SHOW MORE SYNC OPTIONS.

5 Activate synchronisation of e-mails

Press the drop down list below "Days to sync".
Press the required setting.
Press Sync email to activate the function.
Press Download attachments automatically when connected to Wi-Fi network.
Press NEXT.

6 Activate or deactivate e-mail notification

Press Play sound, No sound or No notification.
Press SHOW MORE NOTIFICATION OPTIONS.
If you select Play sound:
Press NOTIFICATION SOUND.
Press Default ringtone or the required ring tone.
Press DONE.
Press Vibrate to activate or deactivate the function.
Press Notification light to activate or deactivate the function.
If you select No sound:
Press Vibrate to activate or deactivate the function.
Press Notification light to activate or deactivate the function.
Press NEXT.

7 Enter an account name

Press the field below "Set account name (optional)" and key in the required name.

8 Enter the sender name

Press the field below "Your name (shown on outgoing messages)" and key in the required sender name.

9 Finish setup

Press FINISH SETUP.
Wait while your mobile phone retrieves new e-mails.

10 Return to the Home screen

Press the home icon to end the session and return to the Home screen.
