Activate or deactivate GPS
You mobile phone can determine your geographical position using GPS (Global Positioning System). The information about your position is used by a number of applications on you mobile phone, such as navigation, the search function and the weather forecast.
1. Find " Location"
Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your mobile phone.
Press the settings icon.
Press the settings icon.
Press Privacy and safety.
Press Location.
2. Activate or deactivate GPS
Press the indicator below "Location" to activate or deactivate the function.
If you activate the function:
Press Locating method.
Proceed to step 3.
If you deactivate the function:
Proceed to step 4.
Press Locating method.
Proceed to step 3.
If you deactivate the function:
Proceed to step 4.
3. Select option
Select one of the following options:
Activate satellite-based and network-based GPS, go to 3a.
Activate network-based GPS, go to 3b.
Activate satellite-based GPS, go to 3c.
Activate satellite-based and network-based GPS, go to 3a.
Activate network-based GPS, go to 3b.
Activate satellite-based GPS, go to 3c.

4. 3a - Activate satellite-based and network-based GPS
Press GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks.
If you activate satellite-based and network-based GPS, your mobile phone can find your position quickly and with the highest accuracy.
5. 3b - Activate network-based GPS
Press Wi-Fi and mobile networks.
If you activate wireless networks, your mobile phone can find your approximate position using the network. This is useful if you don't have a GPS satellite fix.
6. 3c - Activate satellite-based GPS
Press GPS only.
If you activate satellite-based GPS, your mobile phone can find your exact position. Satellite-based GPS requires a clear view of the sky.
7. Return to the Home screen
Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
