How to write and send SMS

An SMS is a text message which can be sent to other mobile phones. If you can't send and receive SMS as soon as you've inserted your SIM card, you need to set up your mobile phone for SMS.

Step 1 of 6

Slide your finger left on the display to open the main menu.
Press Text Messages.

Step 2 of 6

Press Compose.

Step 3 of 6

Key in the first letters of the required contact.
Matching contacts from the address book are displayed.
Press the required contact.

Step 4 of 6

Press Enter a message.
Write the text for your SMS.

Press Send when you've written your SMS.

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your mobile phone to return to the home screen.

1. Find "Text Messages"

Slide your finger left on the display to open the main menu.
Press Text Messages.

2. Write SMS

Press Compose.

3. Select the recipient

Key in the first letters of the required contact.
Matching contacts from the address book are displayed.
Press the required contact.

4. Write the text

Press Enter a message.
Write the text for your SMS.

5. Send the SMS

Press Send when you've written your SMS.

6. Return to the home screen

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your mobile phone to return to the home screen.
