    Set up and use your mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot

    When you use your mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, you can share your mobile phone's Internet connection with other devices via WLAN. Remember, you need to set up your mobile phone for Internet.

    Step 1 of 14

    Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your mobile phone.
    Press Settings.

    Press Network Connections.

    Press Mobile Hotspot.

    If it's the first time you use your mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot:
    Follow the instructions on the display to key in the required password and go to step 7.

    If you've previously used your mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot:
    Press Configure.

    Press the field below "Name" and key in the required name.

    Press Security Type.

    If you don't want to password protect your hotspot:
    Press None.

    If you want to password protect your hotspot:
    Press the required encryption method.

    Press the field below "Password" and key in the required password.

    Press Save.

    Press the indicator next to "Mobile Hotspot" until the function is activated.

    Do the following on the device which will connect to your Wi-Fi hotspot:
    Activate WLAN on the other device.
    Find the list of available WLANs.
    Select your mobile phone on the list.
    Follow the instructions on the display to establish a connection to your mobile phone.
    When the connection is established, you can access the Internet from the other device.

    Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your mobile phone to return to the home screen.

    1. Find " Mobile Hotspot"

    Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your mobile phone.
    Press Settings.
    Press Network Connections.
    Press Mobile Hotspot.

    2. Edit settings

    If it's the first time you use your mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot:
    Follow the instructions on the display to key in the required password and go to step 7.

    If you've previously used your mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot:
    Press Configure.

    3. Enter Wi-Fi hotspot name

    Press the field below "Name" and key in the required name.

    4. Select security settings

    Press Security Type.
    If you don't want to password protect your hotspot:
    Press None.
    If you want to password protect your hotspot:
    Press the required encryption method.
    Press the field below "Password" and key in the required password.
    Press Save.

    5. Activate Wi-Fi hotspot

    Press the indicator next to "Mobile Hotspot" until the function is activated.

    6. Establish a connection

    Do the following on the device which will connect to your Wi-Fi hotspot:
    Activate WLAN on the other device.
    Find the list of available WLANs.
    Select your mobile phone on the list.
    Follow the instructions on the display to establish a connection to your mobile phone.
    When the connection is established, you can access the Internet from the other device.

    7. Return to the home screen

    Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your mobile phone to return to the home screen.
