Set up your mobile phone for SMS

An SMS is a text message which can be sent to other mobile phones. You'll be able to send and receive SMS as soon as you've inserted your SIM into your mobile phone. If this isn't the case, you can set up your mobile phone for SMS manually.

Slide your finger left on the display to open the main menu.
Press Text Messages.

Press the dots.

Press Settings.

Press Text Messages.

Press SMS.

Press the settings icon.

Press the field below "Service Centre Address" and key +41794999000

Press the drop down list below "Routing Preference".

Press Circuit Switched Preferred.

Press the drop down list below "Send Text-Only Messages as".

Press SMS.

Press the save icon.

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your mobile phone to return to the home screen.

1. Find "SMS"

Slide your finger left on the display to open the main menu.
Press Text Messages.
Press the dots.
Press Settings.
Press Text Messages.
Press SMS.

2. Save the message centre number

Press the settings icon.
Press the field below "Service Centre Address" and key +41794999000

3. Select data bearer

Press the drop down list below "Routing Preference".
Press Circuit Switched Preferred.

4. Select message type

Press the drop down list below "Send Text-Only Messages as".
Press SMS.

5. Save settings

Press the save icon.

6. Return to the home screen

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your mobile phone to return to the home screen.
