Troubleshooting

If your device isn't working properly, you can try several solutions to solve the problem.
In most cases you can solve the problem by following these guidelines:

If your mobile phone hasn't been correctly set up for e-mail, you can't send and receive e-mail.

Solution: Set up your mobile phone for e-mail.

Press Settings.

Press Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Press Add Account.

Press the required provider or Other.

If you select a provider:
Follow the instructions on the display to log on.

If you select Other:

Press Add Mail Account.

Press Name and key in the name you want to use as sender name in your e-mails.

Press Email and key in your Swisscom e-mail address.

Press Password and key in the password for your Swisscom e-mail account.

Press Description and key in the required name.

Press Next.

To activate or deactivate synchronisation of e-mail:
Press the indicator next to "Mail".

To activate or deactivate synchronisation of notes:
Press the indicator next to "Notes".

Press Save.

Press Fetch New Data.

Press the indicator nexto to "Push" to activate or deactivate the function.

If you deactivate Push:

Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.

1 Find "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

Press Settings.
Press Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

2 Set up new e-mail account

Press Add Account.
Press the required provider or Other.
If you select a provider:
Follow the instructions on the display to log on.
If you select Other:
Press Add Mail Account.

3 Enter sender name

Press Name and key in the name you want to use as sender name in your e-mails.

4 Enter e-mail address

Press Email and key in your Swisscom e-mail address.

5 Enter password

Press Password and key in the password for your Swisscom e-mail account.

6 Enter an account name

Press Description and key in the required name.
Press Next.

7 Activate or deactivate synchronisation

To activate or deactivate synchronisation of e-mail:
Press the indicator next to "Mail".
To activate or deactivate synchronisation of notes:
Press the indicator next to "Notes".
Press Save.

8 Select setting for retrieval of new e-mails

Press Fetch New Data.
Press the indicator nexto to "Push" to activate or deactivate the function.
If you deactivate Push:
Press the required period or Manually.
To select settings for a specific e-mail account:
Press the required e-mail account.
Press Fetch or Manual.
Press Fetch New Data.
Press Mail....

9 Return to the Home screen

Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
