Set up your tablet for Swisscom e-mail

You can set up your tablet to send and receive e-mails from your Swisscom e-mail account. Remember, you need to set up your tablet for Internet.

Press Settings.

Press Mail.

Press Accounts.

Press Add Account.

Press Other.

Press Add Mail Account.

Press Name and key in the name you want to use as sender name in your e-mails.

Press Email and key in your Swisscom e-mail address.

Press Password and key in the password for your Swisscom e-mail account.

Press Description and key in the required name.

Press Next.

To activate or deactivate synchronisation of e-mail, press the indicator next to "Mail".

To activate or deactivate synchronisation of notes, press the indicator next to "Notes".

Press Save.

Press the name of the e-mail account you've just set up.

Press "Account" below "IMAP".

Press "SMTP" below "OUTGOING MAIL SERVER".

Press the required e-mail account and follow the instructions on the display to select account settings.

Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.

1. Find "Mail"

Press Settings.
Press Mail.

2. Set up new e-mail account

Press Accounts.
Press Add Account.
Press Other.
Press Add Mail Account.

3. Enter sender name

Press Name and key in the name you want to use as sender name in your e-mails.

4. Enter e-mail address

Press Email and key in your Swisscom e-mail address.

5. Enter password

Press Password and key in the password for your Swisscom e-mail account.

6. Enter an account name

Press Description and key in the required name.
Press Next.

7. Activate or deactivate synchronisation

To activate or deactivate synchronisation of e-mail, press the indicator next to "Mail".
To activate or deactivate synchronisation of notes, press the indicator next to "Notes".
Press Save.

8. Select e-mail account

Press the name of the e-mail account you've just set up.
Press "Account" below "IMAP".

9. Activate encryption of outgoing e-mails

Press "SMTP" below "OUTGOING MAIL SERVER".
Press the field below "PRIMARY SERVER".
Press the indicator next to "Use SSL" until the function is activated.

10. Deactivate password encryption

Press Authentication.
Press Password.
Press arrow left.

11. Enter outgoing port

Press Server Port.
Key in 465 and press Done.

12. Activate encryption of incoming e-mails

Press Account.
Press Advanced.
Press the indicator next to "Use SSL" until the function is activated.

13. Deactivate password encryption

Press Authentication.
Press Password.
Press Advanced.

14. Enter incoming port

Press Server Port.
Key in 993
Press Account.
Press Done.
Press Accounts.

15. Select setting for retrieval of new e-mails

Press Fetch New Data.
Press the indicator nexto to "Push" to activate or deactivate the function.
If you deactivate the function, press the required setting.
Press the required e-mail account and follow the instructions on the display to select account settings.
Press Fetch New Data.
Press Accounts.

16. Return to the Home screen

Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
