Your mobile phone hasn't been correctly set up for e-mail

Possible cause 3 of 3:

If your mobile phone hasn't been correctly set up for e-mail, you can't send and receive e-mail.


What you need to do:

You can set up your mobile phone to send and receive e-mails from your Swisscom e-mail account. Remember, you need to set up your mobile phone for Internet.

1.

Find "Email"

  • Press Apps.
  • Press Email.

Enter the e-mail address

  • Key in your Swisscom e-mail address.
If you've already set up an e-mail account on your mobile phone, do the following:
Press the menu icon.
Press Settings.
Press Manage accounts.
Press the add account icon.
Key in your e-mail address.

3.

Enter password

  • Press Password and key in the password for your Swisscom e-mail account.
  • Press Next.
If you've forgotten your password for e-mail (not your Swisscom Login password), you can find it in the Customer Center.

Select settings for retrieval of new e-mails

  • Press the drop down list below "Period to sync Email".
  • Press All or the required period.
  • Press the drop down list below "Sync schedule".
  • Press Automatic (Push), Manual or the required period.
  • Press the drop down list below "Peak schedule".
  • Press Automatic (Push), Manual or the required period.

5.

Activate or deactivate synchronisation of e-mails

  • Press Sync Email to activate or deactivate the function.

6.

Activate or deactivate e-mail notification

  • Press Notify me when email arrives to activate or deactivate the function.
  • Press Next.

7.

Enter an account name

  • Key in the required name.

8.

Enter the sender name

  • Press the field below "Your name (Displayed on outgoing messages)" and key in the required sender name.

9.

Finish setup

  • Press Done.
  • Wait while your mobile phone retrieves new e-mails.

10.

Return to the Home screen

  • Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
