How to set up a Microsoft account on your mobile phone

If you don't have a Microsoft account, you need to set one up and activate it on your mobile phone to be able to install apps from Windows Phone Store. First you need to set up your mobile phone for Internet.

1.

Find "Games"

  • Press Games.

Start setup

  • Slide your finger left on the display to find xbox.
  • Press join Xbox or sign in.
  • Press sign in.
  • Press create one.

3.

Enter username

  • Press @live.com and key in the required username.
  • Press next.

4.

Enter the password

  • Press the field below "New password" and key in the required password.
  • Press the field below "Confirm password" and key in the password again.
  • Press next.

5.

Enter e-mail address

  • Press john@example.com and key in your e-mail address.

6.

Enter date of birth

  • Press choose date.
  • Follow the instructions on the display to key in your date of birth.
  • Press the confirm icon.

7.

Select postcode

  • Press the field below "Postcode" and key in your postcode.
  • Press next.
  • Follow the instructions on the display to create the account.

8.

Return to the Home screen

  • Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
