How to set up and use your mobile phone as a WLAN hotspot

When you use your mobile phone as a WLAN hotspot, you can share your mobile phone's Internet connection with other devices via WLAN. First you need to set up your mobile phone for Internet.

1.

Find "internet sharing"

  • Slide your finger left on the display.
  • Press Settings.
  • Press internet sharing.

Activate the WLAN hotspot

  • Press the indicator next to "Sharing" to activate the function.

Select settings

  • Press setup.

Enter the WLAN hotspot name

  • Press the field below "Broadcast name".
  • Key in the required name.

Select security settings

  • Press the field below "Password (minimum 8 characters).
  • Press the confirm icon.

6.

Establish a connection

  • Do the following on the device which will connect to your WLAN hotspot:
  • Activate WLAN.
  • Find the list of available WLANs.
  • Select your mobile phone on the list.
  • Key in the password you selected in step 5, and a connection to your mobile phone is established.
  • When the connection is established, you can access the Internet from the other device.

7.

Return to the Home screen

  • Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
