Your mobile phone hasn't been correctly set up for e-mail

Possible cause 3 of 3:

If your mobile phone hasn't been correctly set up for e-mail, you can't send and receive e-mail.


What you need to do:

You can set up your mobile phone to send and receive e-mails from your Swisscom e-mail account. Remember, you need to set up your mobile phone for Internet.

1.

Find "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

  • Press Settings.
  • Press Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Set up new e-mail account

  • Press Add Account.
  • Press Other.
  • Press Add Mail Account.

3.

Enter sender name

  • Press Name and key in the name you want to use as sender name in your e-mails.

4.

Enter e-mail address

  • Press Email and key in your Swisscom e-mail address.

5.

Enter password

  • Press Password and key in the password for your Swisscom e-mail account.
If you've forgotten your password for e-mail (not your Swisscom Login password), you can find it in the Customer Center.

Enter an account name

  • Press Description and key in the required name.
  • Press Next.
If the display tells you that your e-mail account has been set up, follow the instructions on the display to select more settings and finish the setup.

7.

Activate or deactivate synchronisation

  • To activate or deactivate synchronisation of e-mail:
  • Press the indicator next to "Mail".
  • To activate or deactivate synchronisation of notes:
  • Press the indicator next to "Notes".
  • Press Save.

8.

Select setting for retrieval of new e-mails

  • Press Fetch New Data.
  • Press the indicator nexto to "Push" to activate or deactivate the function.
  • If you deactivate Push:
  • Press the required period or Manually.
  • To select settings for a specific e-mail account:
  • Press the required e-mail account.
  • Press Fetch or Manual.
  • Press Fetch New Data.
  • Press Mail....

9.

Return to the Home screen

  • Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
