How to use Google Maps

You can use Google Maps to find a specific location on the map or to plan a route to a location. Remember, first you need to set up your mobile phone for Internet, activate GPS and install Google Maps.

1.

Find "Google Maps"

  • Press Google Maps.

Use Google Maps

  • The following steps describe how you:
  • Find a destination
  • Use zoom
  • Save a favourite destination
  • Plan a route to a destination
  • Clear the map

Find destination

  • Press Search.
  • Key in the required destination.
  • Results matching what you key in are displayed.
  • Press the required destination.

4.

Use zoom

  • Drag two fingers together or apart to zoom in or out.

5.

Save favourite destination

  • Press and drag the field at the bottom of the display upwards.
  • Press Save.
  • Log on to Google if you're asked to do so.
Remember, you need a Google account. If you don't have a Google account, you can create one at www.google.com.

6.

Plan route to destination

  • Press the travel time.
  • Press the required mode of transportation.
  • Press the travel time.

7.

Clear map

  • Press the clear map icon.

8.

Return to the Home screen

  • Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
