How to make a video call (FaceTime)

You can make a video call to another device which supports FaceTime. The video call can be made using either the mobile network or a WLAN. Remember, you need to activate your Apple ID.

1.

Find "FaceTime"

  • Press Settings.
  • Press FaceTime.

Activate FaceTime

  • If you're asked to log on, log on with your Apple ID.
  • Press the indicator next to "FaceTime" until the function is activated.
  • Press the Home key to return to the Home screen.

3.

Make a video call

  • Press FaceTime.
  • Press Contacts.
  • Press the required contact.
  • Press FaceTime.
You need to be connected to a WLAN to make a video call using a WLAN.
You need to activate data connections to make a video call using the mobile network.

4.

Select option

  • When you have an active video call, you can select the following options:
  • Mute or unmute the microphone, go to 4a.
  • Switch camera, go to 4b.

4a - Mute or unmute the microphone

  • Press the microphone icon to activate or deactivate the function.

4b - Switch camera

  • Press the camera icon to switch between the front and back camera.

5.

End the call

  • Press End to end the call.

6.

Return to the Home screen

  • Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.
